Biography

Robert L. Matthews, Sr., 78, of Louisville, passed away Friday March 11, at Norton Audubon Hospital.

He was a native of Glasgow, Ky and a retired Builder and Framing Subcontractor.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Moose Lodge #5, AARP, Past member of the Home Builders Association, and a former member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church where he was instrumental in building the Rectory, Convent and new
section of the school.

He is survived by his children; Bob Matthews, Jr., Cheryl Siddique, Keith Matthews, Valerie Matthews-Banks, sisters; Violet Hill, Jean Howard, brother: Benjamin Matthews, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Monday, Resthaven Funeral Home with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.
